COVID-19 Policies & Procedures

Effective Immediately

  • Help us keep our photographers safe by limiting attendance to photoshoot. We ask our agents and homeowners to be off site for the duration of any Tyto Media photoshoot during the COVID-19 crisis. If agents or homeowners must be in attendance, we ask them kindly to wait in a physically separated part of the house, outside of the house, or remain at a distance of no less than 10 feet.


  • We ask that our clients let us know if a property cannot be photographed due to an ill occupant or any concerns about exposure to COVID-19. In those cases, we will waive any cancellation or rescheduling fees.


  • Our photographers are advised to stay home if they feel sick or have been in contact with someone that is ill. 


  • We’ve also instructed our photographers that if they are on-site at a property where there is a possibility of contracting an illness, they should immediately leave.


  • Our photographers have been instructed to not touch any personal items during the photoshoot. 


  • It is the responsibility of our clients to turn on all lights, open blinds and interior doors before the start of the shoot.


  • It is the responsibility of our clients to clean and disinfect the property prior to our arrival.


  • Please note that our photographer may cancel or reschedule the shoot upon arrival if these policies are not acknowledged or adhered to, resulting in a cancellation fee.


Home Preparation Guidelines

Depersonalizing and Organizing the Home

Lighting in the Home

  • There should be no visible signs of pets in the home

  •  Remove small floor rugs to reveal actual flooring 

  • Remove Real Estate Sign from the front yard

  • Place all shoes / jackets in closets

  • Thoroughly clean the whole house

  •  Clear kitchen countertops completely

  •  Clear out kid’s toys, etc

  •  Make all beds

  • Use bulbs of the same temperature (ALL incandescent or ALL compact fluorescent)

  • Remove personal photographs (or replace with general landscape / object photographs)

  •  Open blinds/window treatments to let in outside light

  • Turn overhead lights & lamps ON

  •  Replace all burned out light bulbs

  •  Turn all ceiling fans OFF

  •  Turn all TVs OFF


Policy Terms & Conditions

Invoice & Material Release Policy

  • Our policy is to Invoice at the time the photoshoot appointment is booked in our system.

  • The photographer will complete the photoshoot whether or not payment has been processed, but we do not deliver the final product until payment is received.

  • In order to avoid any delays in delivery, we recommend paying this invoice on the day of the photoshoot at the latest.

  • The completed photoshoot will be sent to you via email. Photoshoots done on weekdays are delivered next-day. Weekend photoshoots are delivered Monday.

Cancellation/Reschedule Policy

  • Rescheduling or cancelling your photoshoot is free of charge, provided that reschedule/cancellation request is communicated to our office by 11:59 pm the day before the scheduled photoshoot.

  • A $49.00 Same-day Cancellation fee will be assessed for reschedule/cancelation requests received on the day of the scheduled photoshoot, given that no prior notice was provided.
